China Lake Camp’s Response to COVID-19
Prayer is our strategy in this season - as it should be in every season.
At China Lake Camp, we remain in compliance with state and national recommendations and mandates as they react to the COVID-19 virus pandemic. As a result, our campus is currently closed to group gatherings of 10 people or more and we enforce social distancing (6’ separation) between visitors whenever possible with our limited staff. We use disinfecting wipes on surfaces known to have been contacted by any visitors between uses, and we are working to keep up with the updated protocols for disinfecting techniques and drinking water safety so that our facilities are ready as soon as they can be made available to groups again. The governor’s executive order of April 1, 2020, extending the duration of her earlier state of emergency declaration, is currently set to expire on April 30, 2020. China Lake Camp will make any necessary adjustments should that order be extended further. Our Board of Directors and on-site Camp Directors have met and decided that we are going to continue to pray, plan, and prepare for summer camp 2020 unless we are told not to by our governing authorities. In the meantime, please stay in touch and join us in prayer for the campers and their families during this tough time. Please pray with us that God will revive the hearts and minds of His people and this entire world as a result of this global tragedy. Thank you.
