Here's What You Should Know...

Camp Coordinator for Teen Camp 2019
David Brown (Intro to Camp Coordinator for past 2 years)

Who is David?
I am the pastor of Getchell Street Baptist Church. I have been there since July 2013. I am married and have two boys ages 7 and 8. I have always enjoyed working with children, in college I worked a summer with CEF hosting summer day camps at churches. I also served as a camp counselor at a camp in Florida. I served for 6 years as a youth pastor at Bible Baptist Church in Palm Harbor, Fl before coming back to Maine to serve at Getchell Street Baptist Church.

I am excited to be Program Coordinator for Intro to Camp
because I love camp and I am thrilled to be able to offer children a short camp to provide a positive and fun first experience. For most Intro to Camp campers, this will be their first time at a summer camp, and I want them to have a great first experience that will make them come back to camp year after year.

What should I expect to do at Intro to Camp 2019?
Intro to Camp is all the fun of a full week of camp packed into two nights and three days. We have fun at
the waterfront swimming, kayaking, playing games, we also have a campfire night, crafts, activities galore and a chance to make new friends, and to spend time learning about God and how we can have a relationship with Him and how God can be a part of our life each day.

What will I learn about?
We will be learn about God and how he loves us.

Camp Myth
You do not need to come to Intro to Camp alone. You can bring a parent or grandparent with you, and they can stay in the cabin with you or they can sleep in another location at camp. So this can be your first time away or you can bring someone with you.

Camp Truth
Intro to Camp will be the first of many
memorable camp experiences that you have, and it will get you involved at a young age so you don't have miss out on all the fun!
